Direction is the whole job.

What we do

samoxy is an art direction studio for brands that get looked at closely. Product stills, texture, model shots and motion, made for the kind of product a customer inspects before they buy it.

A picture doesn't sell because it's pretty. It sells because someone sees themselves in it: the life the product belongs to, the standard it's held to, the reason it costs what it costs. Deciding what that is, then holding it across every asset a brand puts out, is the job.

A brand that knows exactly what it looks like ends up with forty assets that agree with each other. One that doesn't ends up with forty that argue. Every project starts by pinning down what yours looks like, in writing, before an image is made.

How we work

Every project begins with a locked master reference of your product. Materials, color and label are fixed in writing before anything is generated, and every asset in the campaign is built from that same file, never from the render before it.

One lighting setup, one surface, one color temperature, held across the whole set. It's the discipline of a real shoot, and it's why the work survives being laid out side by side, which is the only way a customer ever sees it: your grid, your product page, your ad sitting next to somebody else's.

Why it holds up

Labels garble on curved glass. Warm scene light quietly recolors a product. Feed a render back into a render and the branding decays a little each time until the jar isn't the jar any more. We've hit all of it and written down how we get around it. That's what the tutorials are. If you want to judge the work before you spend anything, read tells.
